iGowise, a deep-tech mobility startup, has partnered with Patnaik Energy Group (PEG) to launch 5,000 portable EV power banks in a first-of-its-kind deployment across Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The partnership blends cutting-edge battery tech with last-mile delivery capabilities to create an Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) model for the growing electric mobility ecosystem.
In the first phase, 1,000 portable power banks will be deployed within 12 months. A $1 million seed round is being raised to scale the initiative further.
On-Demand Energy for the EV Ecosystem
These portable power banks are engineered to serve a wide range of users:
- EV two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and small electric cars
- Drones in remote locations
- Electric farm equipment
- Lighting and gear for wilderness or off-grid use
The devices will be available in urban locations such as residential high-rises, commercial hubs, and underserved areas lacking permanent charging stations. They will operate via app-based access and scan-and-use systems at each deployment point.
“We believe these simple but powerful solutions will redefine how energy is accessed,” said Sravan Kumar, CEO of iGowise.
“Our smart trikes will deliver these units while maintaining payload, speed, and safety. Patnaik Energy Group is the ideal partner to help us scale this."
Advanced Battery Tech Meets Mobility Innovation
Each power bank will feature:
- AIS-156 compliance
- Lithium iron phosphate (LFP), LMFP, and LTO battery chemistries
- AI-powered Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Advanced cooling and ventilation
- Wheeled portability for flexible mounting
Brand-specific fast DC charging capabilities will also be included, allowing the banks to serve multiple EV brands, including those with fixed battery systems—a segment often excluded from swappable battery solutions.
“With our earlier experience in battery swapping for delivery networks, we’re excited to take this step forward,” said Sambit Patnaik, Founder, RapidE Power & Patnaik Energy Group.
“These units will serve EVs, drone ops, and remote industry needs—bringing accessible, mobile power to everyone.”
Expansion and Strategic Goals
- Phase 1 Deployment: 1,000 power banks in Bengaluru and Hyderabad
- Total Goal: 5,000 units over 24 months
- Target Users: EV OEMs, drone companies, research agencies, 3PL & last-mile operators
- Go-to-Market: Lease-based and pay-per-use Energy-as-a-Service models
iGowise's trikes will act as mobile deployment units, creating a hub-and-spoke energy delivery system. Users can plug into power banks like household appliances, bypassing costly infrastructure investments.
Future Vision: Global Expansion
After establishing a strong domestic footprint, the companies plan to expand globally with partnerships across EV manufacturers, logistics firms, and government agencies.
“This partnership redefines how energy will be delivered—fast, flexible, and user-centric,” said both teams in a joint statement.
“Together, we are enabling a future where energy can be accessed anytime, anywhere.”
