Glean Technologies Opens 26,000 Sq Ft Bengaluru Office to Boost AI Innovation

California-based enterprise AI platform Glean Technologies has opened its first office in Bengaluru, India. The new office spans 26,000 square feet and will serve as the central hub for finance, sales, research and development, and business operations in India.

Founded in 2019 by Arvind Jain, Vishwanath T R, Tony Gentilcore, and Piyush Prahladka, Glean is renowned for its enterprise search and knowledge management solutions. Their platform enables companies to search, access, and manage data across various platforms by connecting applications and databases.
CEO Arvind Jain described Glean as the "Google or ChatGPT" for company data, highlighting its capability to answer employee queries using private company knowledge.

Glean Technologies, headquartered in Palo Alto, has raised $350 million from investors including General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with a valuation over $2.2 billion. The company plans to expand its workforce from 150 to over 450 by next year, having already recruited 12 students from top IITs since December.

The Bengaluru office will focus on R&D and significant hiring in customer support, marketing, sales, and business development. Glean is expanding its customer base in the APAC region through partnerships with prominent firms, including a Southeast Asian commercial bank, a global electronics and entertainment firm, and a global automotive manufacturer.
