Nishanth RaviChandran, founder of meat delivery service TenderCuts, has announced his latest venture, Visu.ai, an AI-driven analytics platform aimed at enhancing retail security through real-time theft detection.
Visu.ai leverages advanced computer vision technology to integrate seamlessly with existing CCTV systems, offering two primary products:
- Cashier Watch: Monitors and identifies suspicious behaviors among cashiers, such as fraud, mis-scans, or sweethearting theft.
- Customer Watch: Detects suspicious gestures from shoppers, enabling instant identification and blacklisting of repeat offenders.
Reflecting on his entrepreneurial journey, RaviChandran shared, "Turning challenges into opportunities, Visu.ai was born. Our innovative AI technology integrates seamlessly with existing CCTV systems, detecting theft in real-time."
Prior to founding Visu.ai, RaviChandran co-founded E-Billing Solutions (EBS), a pioneering payment gateway in India that was acquired by Ingenico (now Worldline Payments) in 2013.
The launch of Visu.ai follows approximately 18 months after TenderCuts was acquired by Delhi NCR-based omnichannel meat brand Good To Go in a distress sale.
Visu.ai enters the market at a time when AI-driven solutions are gaining significant traction across various industries. With its focus on enhancing retail security and operational efficiency, Visu.ai aims to provide retailers with the tools necessary to combat theft and improve overall store management.
