Krutrim, the artificial intelligence (AI) venture under Ola Group, has announced it is now hosting Meta's newly launched Llama 4 open-source models on its India-based cloud platform. This makes Krutrim the first Indian AI company to deploy Llama 4 domestically, a move aimed at enhancing data sovereignty and localized access to cutting-edge AI tools.
The models now available through Krutrim include Llama 4 Scout and Llama 4 Maverick, with pricing structured between ₹7 and ₹17 per million tokens. Tokens represent units of text—such as words or characters—used in processing natural language tasks.
CEO Bhavish Aggarwal shared the update on social media, stating that Krutrim is among the world's first to run Meta's Llama 4 models entirely on an India-hosted cloud infrastructure.
Previously, Krutrim had been offering AI models from Chinese developer DeepSeek, which ranged from 8 billion to 700 billion parameters. These were priced between ₹10 and ₹60 per million tokens. The inclusion of Meta's Llama 4 significantly broadens Krutrim's suite of tools, giving developers more choices for scalable, high-performance AI solutions.
In parallel, Krutrim is also preparing to roll out Krutrim Assistant V2 later this month. The update is set to feature "DeepSearch," a new capability focused on improving the accuracy and depth of information retrieval within AI applications.
